Meet Paul Houge, MD
Dr. Paul Houge grew up in Minnesota and moved to New York, where he graduated from the US Military Academy. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Medical School, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu. Before settling in Colorado Springs, he served with both the Army and Air Force as a pediatrician and in multiple leadership positions in Germany, Bosnia, New York, Colorado Springs, Kuwait, Utah, Denver, and San Antonio. Dr. Houge augmented his passion for patient safety and quality in his last assignment as Chief of Quality, Risk Management, Compliance and Patient Safety at the Air Force Medical Operations Agency. He also enjoyed treating pediatric patients around the world on short term mission trips in Romania, Peru, Honduras, and Mongolia.
Dr. Houge is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and he has over twenty years of experience in the practice of pediatrics. He is excited for the opportunity to care for children and to partner with their parents to reach their optimal health and life goals. He believes good health is gained not just through medications, surgeries, and therapies, but also by incorporating exercise, nutritional eating habits, preventative medicine, immunizations, safe environments, and healthy relationships.
Dr. Houge and his wife are blessed with five young children, including three by adoption. As a family, they enjoy reading, singing, biking, hiking, dancing, soccer, swimming, and skiing.
