Meet Benjamin Sturgeon, MS
Benjamin received his Master’s in Psychology with an emphasis in trauma-related pathology and treatment from the
University of Colorado. His treatment focuses on techniques to create and support safe, healing environments that allow individuals to grow and to heal.
His areas of specialty and preferred modalities include Trauma Related Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, Conflict Resolution, Stress/Anxiety Management, Domestic Violence, Grief Therapy, Child Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapies, Trauma Systems Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Family Systems Therapy, Intensive Outpatient, Panic and Anxiety Disorders, Parenting Skills/Issues, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Phobias, Bipolar Disorders, and work with Sexual Assault Survivors.
When he’s not working, Benjamin enjoys hiking, kayaking, and listening to live music of any genre. Benj has two adult children, one who lives here in Colorado Springs, and one who attends college in Washington, DC.
