Dominique Dijkhuizen, LCSW

Dominique Dijkhuizen is a Florida native who relocated to Colorado in 2014. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Colorado. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. She went on to complete a Master of Social Work degree, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Denver in Colorado in 2016.

Dominique enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and approaches therapy through a holistic and trauma-informed lens. She strives to provide a safe environment where long-term changes are fostered. She has experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and interpersonal struggles. She also incorporates a variety of therapeutic interventions to best suit client needs such as Rogerian, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

Dominique is passionate about volunteering in her local community as well as providing mental health services to those with least access globally. She enjoys the active lifestyle that Colorado provides including hiking, skiing, and camping. She also enjoys traveling and hopes to continue exploring the world.
