Kristin McCoy, MD

Dr McCoy was raised in Texas and Oregon. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, earned from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She maintains great passion for theatre, dance, and music. She then returned to her birthplace in Shreveport, Louisiana, and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center at Shreveport. After earning her MD, she did her internship in Internal Medicine at LSUMC. She then moved to Orlando, Florida for a three year residency in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. McCoy’s family relocated to Colorado 35 years ago. She was finally able to come home to Colorado in 2000, and has enjoyed practicing Emergency Medicine across the Front Range since. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, and has special interest in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Orthopaedics. Previously, she worked in Loveland, Colorado, and relocated to Colorado Springs with her husband in 2006. Since that time, she was employed with UC Health/Memorial Hospital. Now, she is delighted to be able to transition to the Urgent Care setting with Matthews-Vu.

Dr McCoy’s interests outside of work include equestrian eventing, ballet, skiing, raising her son, travel, and appreciating every day the majesty of Colorado.
